FINISHED PROJECTS

For our client the Radboud University Nijmegen the following project was started: Fishplay a.k.a. Stream: The Interactive Elevator is an interactive installation to bring fish and humans closer together. For this project I worked together with 8 other people from various expertises including audio, game and interaction design to create an underwater experience inside an elevator. Fish are not as stupid as we make believe ;)

Promotional posters and mood paintings to capture the feelings we wanted to evoke in people.

To add to this, I made a cute illustration book that explains our own experiences with our fish during the project and the installation. Since our installation was not transportable to their own lab, we figured this would be a nice extra gift.

River Rivals was a serious game for the University Utrecht. We were asked to teach normal people about the difficulties of dike and water management in the Netherlands.
In this game you gain control over a small area alongside the imaginary river the Waas. You need to learn to live with the river: you can't just keep making the dikes larger and nature conservations start playing a bigger and bigger role as the river starts to expand or shrink!

The game turned into an extremely fun management game that doesn't feel like it's forcing you to learn.

And finally, an early style concept of the game. I used this version (incl. art) to playtest the game in Google Docs' Excell too. Don't ask about the crazy calculations I had behind each decision the player made vs river flow...

Another serious game, this time for the Utrecht School of the Arts with a drugs theme. We wanted to (objectively) show the effects of drugs inside your body. You are a drug chemical that interacts with the chemicals and components inside blood veins and the brains. Try to keep the high without destroying your host!

RANDOM STUFF

Rayman versus Mad World
Rayman versus Mad World
Five of the same items in two different settings: Rayman 1 and Mad World. The items are a sea container, a torpedo, a sunflower, a ladder and a diving boat. A few things such as Rayman were taken from the official games to save time. Just a silly ol' style practise :)
